Let's get the small talk out of the way. Family: I grew up outside of Philadelphia where I also went to school and worked for ten years. I'm now drifting across the country as a digital nomad, a seeker of the good life. (As of August 2017, I'm in Sonoma.) Occupation: I work in commercial real estate (as an investor, not a broker). Recreation: I enjoy reading, sailing, drinking wine, board games, and learning new things. Dreams: I want to create office buildings with a personality; I want improve the practice of reading books by an order of magnitude; I want to sail across at least one ocean; I want to speak French bien; and I want to live where grapes are grown.

Between mid-2015 to mid-2016, some might have described me as a former corporate success story who quit his job to travel the world, attemping to blog about how you too could quit your job and travel. [1] At present I am a sojourner in civilized life again. [2] The stories that remain from that adventure can be found here: undeferred.io. My favorite article was the one about a 10-day silent meditation retreat in Thailand, but I shamefully never finished writing part two.

I also wrote some hotel reviews as a guest writer for glamping.com (my first paid writing gig!) which comprise some especially fond memories: Four Rivers Floating Lodge in Cambodia, Firefly in Bali, Sandat in Bali, and La Cocoterai in the Gilis.
